Dam Drama Collective presents
“Then, now, next”
Dam Drama Collective is a collaboration of English-language theater groups based in Amsterdam. Each production features a unique theme tying several one-act plays together. The theme for this year’s performance is Time Periods: “Then. Now. Next.”
The Cauldron will be debuting the new short play All The Way Down, written by Jon Madge, directed by Kat Carson and starring Elizabeth Salas and Alcina Summers.
Follow six short plays through different snapshots in time. You'll see that while changing times affect the characters, some things remain universally the same.

All The Way Down
Jules and Tam meet late one night, on a bridge built by misunderstood Victorian architect Charles Foster Alan. It's a place and a moment in time that will change the course of their lives.
Though each of the two has a very different reason for being there, they're pulled together by the time and the place of their meeting, and the history of where they've met.

ELIZABETH SALAS
Being an actor was something Elizabeth had always imagined at a young age, but her dreams took a backseat while she navigated through life "like a normie". Once she made it to Amsterdam, however, she kick-started her journey by developing her skills through classes in Mulholland Academy. Now she's making strides to pursue her passions, co-founding Blank State Theater with her friends and recently had been in and around Amsterdam’s independent theater scene. Previously, she played Evelyn in the alternate cast of The Shape of Things (Reveal Productions) and Chanel in 8 Women (TeatrForma). Aside from playing Tam in The Cauldron’s All The Way Down, she will play Sandra in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (InPlayers) and will take a stab at directing next year with Psychopathia Sexualis (Bonobo Productions).
TAM
ALCINA SUMMERS
JULESAlcina is a multilingual actor, voice over, and singer, fluent in English and Dutch. She was most recently seen onstage in The Cauldron’s very own original musical Nun The Wiser, where she originated the role of Sister Pia. Other work includes Time Will Tattle, Murder in the Studio, 9 to 5, and Bare: A Pop Opera, with the play Private Lives by Labyrinth Productions coming up next, where she’ll be playing the role of Amanda. Alcina’s recent voice work includes Scene There Done That, Death Game, and the short film I Give to Thee. She will also be seen in The Cauldron’s very first live Dungeons and Dragons improv play Problem Players. Trained in stage acting, improv, and vocal performance, she brings versatility, musicality, and a storytelling instinct to every project.

JON MADGE
Jon is a writer and director with a love for new and innovative theatre. Since moving to Amsterdam, they’ve worked on several award winning productions, including the Cauldron’s Addams Family and DSL’s The Arsonists, both praised for their direction, and helped found the Campfire of New Writing night of short plays. Jon’s just finishing work on Keeping the Zoo, an audio sitcom homage to classic radio comedies, which will launch on all good podcast apps later this year.
WRITER
KAT CARSON
DIRECTORKat began singing lessons at 11 after being cast as a “tango dancing fish” in her school play—a twist of fate that sparked a lifelong love of performing. While studying music at Sussex University, they worked with the BREMF Community Choir and made her recording debut on Musica Secreta’s Lucrezia Borgia’s Daughter, later performing on BBC Radio 3. In the Netherlands, Kat earned their Masters at FONTYS and founded ensembles The Wandering Bard and Nymphes & Monstres, creating innovative projects. She also founded The Cauldron, producing musicals and teaching, and recently debuted their first script, Nun the Wiser.
