Could They Be Wrong?

27 Sept 20:00 and 28 Sept 14:00 & 18:00, Theater de Cameleon, Amsterdam

Seven people must make a unanimous live-or-die decision. They are all equal, they all have a voice but, could they be wrong? This completely improvised play is inspired by the movies Women Talking and Twelve Angry Men!

What is an improvised play?

Hear from the directors, Ollie and Bodei:

“Under our guidance, the performers have rehearsed the style of play, the cadence of the scene work and how to create layered characters in a particular way. However, the whole storyline, all the dialogue and the actual characters are completely improvised.

In improv, we almost always start by asking for a suggestion to inspire the show. For Could They Be Wrong? we decided to ask for suggestions well in advance. This gave us time to set the right ambience for the show and work out some of the finer details of the dilemma.

But no worries, nothing has been revealed to the performers yet, they will hear the chosen scenario at the exact same time you do.

Enjoy the show!”

Meet the Team

  • Bodei

    DIRECTOR

Bodei is the original creator and stage director of Could They Be Wrong? She soon realised this would be a 2-director job and asked Ollie to join as technical director. It only got better from there.

Bodei took her first improv steps 12 years ago in Amsterdam. Since then she’s played, trained and taught improv on 5 continents. In 2025 she started as Artistic Director of Longform at easylaughs but also performs in different groups and duos. She regularly travels to international festivals to teach and perform, often with Erica Maity to play their duo show Tailored Swiftly.

  • Ollie

    TECHNICAL DIRECTOR & MUSICIAN

Ollie creates the sonic and visual world for Could they be wrong? with live, improvised soundscapes and projections. As a technical improviser and musician, he samples and layers sounds in real-time while also designing a unique visual environment for each performance. Ollie has spent three years as a technical designer and operator for the Amsterdam improv community, bringing his skills to companies like Flock Theatre and easylaughs. His live work is an essential part of the show and proves that improv can transport and immerse us in unscripted stories.

  • Mimi

    ACTOR

Mimi van Amerongen is a professional actress, improviser and improv teacher, currently working at Boom Chicago. She is thrilled to combine her decades of theatrical studies with her love of improvisation for this show. Mimi regularly performs and teaches at international improv festivals; she also had the joy of co-creating the legendary improv format “OMG! I Can’t Even!” with our fearless director, Bodei. In addition to acting, Mimi is a photographer and designer. All headshots, images and poster design for ‘Could They Be Wrong?’ are created by Mimi. • Thiago

    ACTOR

Over six years ago Thiago casually walked into an introductory improv class in Eindhoven and simply never stopped. He soon joined a group called Holy Spot and became a volunteer instructor in the Improv Community Eindhoven (ICE). He has since been part of many shows, created formats, taught workshops, directed student showcases, and led an Erasmus Plus improv project. Despite silly-clownish-over-the-top character work being his go-to approach on stage, Thiago has leveraged his dramatic tendencies with the cast of Could They Be Wrong.

  • Vero

    ACTOR

After collecting all possible basic improv courses given in Amsterdam, Vero dove the past five years into intensive workshops such as the week-long Miyazaki improvised journey taught by Flock, and thematic classes with the same theater company. At the crossline between her love for movies, storytelling and improv, genre-centric improvised formats and character-driven stories took her heart. She explored any opportunity she found to dive into this passion, from post-apocalyptic zombie stories to Cohen Brothers inspired improv, via fairy tales with a modern twist. She was over the moon to be cast for Could They Be Wrong, her longest improvised adventure so far.

  • Ross

    ACTOR

Ross is an improviser who likes sharps lines, emotional tension and unusual stage pictures. Originally from Scotland, he has studied improv in Japan, Germany and the Netherlands. Alongside being a cast member for Could They Be Wrong?, he is also an actor for Flock Theatre. Outside improv, he writes haiku comics and music.

  • Alice

    ACTOR

Around the age of 9 Alice fell in love with acting. Since then she performed in countless plays and musicals in Berlin. When she moved to Amsterdam in 2019 she discovered improv and acted in several short films. She enjoys not having to learn lines in improv, and also the community and creative open ended nature of it.

  • Loes

    ACTOR

Born and raised in Amsterdam, Loes discovered Improv later in life. Now 17 years later she is a seasoned improviser and part of the Amsterdam improv community, playing in both English and Dutch. She is part of the Dutch improv group Magnesium and until recently she was a drama teacher- working with people with mental disabilities. Her strength is playing a multitude of characters with emotional depth and easily switching between the serious and the silly.

  • Paresh

    ACTOR

Paresh felt out of place. So he started pretending to be other people who did fit in. Someone told him you can do that in a more mentally healthy way and it's called improv. Now he roams around the Netherlands trying to improve his improv. He now teaches improv in Improv Community of Eindhoven and with Holy Spot creates and performs weird improv formats. Paresh also enjoys pani puri, an unhealthy amount.

The Cauldron Presents is a collaborative format where we partner with independent artists and creators to help bring their existing (theatre) work to Amsterdam. While the shows are not developed or directed by The Cauldron, we support them through production, promotion, and audience development—amplifying their work and making it accessible to local audiences.
